City Farm in Gingham Dress

I know a lot of parents couldn’t wait to get their kids out of the house back to school. I didn’t have the same feelings.  Our summer was much more relaxed compared to the school year where the new routines have to be established for drop off/ pick up, activities, homework, and ahh papers and pile of papers. This past summer had gone so fast that I was not ready for fall.

We made it, the first day of school including me on Tuesday.  I am taking two master courses this semester and I hope I can pull it through.  I had back to back classes and didn’t get home until all my kids had gone to bed, 10:30 pm.  That will be my new routine, a very long day Tuesday.  People often ask how we do it to manage a family of four kids.  We simply say we just do it.  We are fortunate that we have a lot of help from our parents.  My husband is wonderful picking up the lacks too.

I get cold easily so I like the summer very much.  I was trying to savor every bits of it.  I would never get tired with one layer and bared toes.   Last week, I stumbled onto this Berkeley Community garden right in the middle of the city.  Walking through it made me happy.  I was guessing many slots here belonged to the Asian because I saw a lot of Asian squash crops.  Oh! How’s little things make me smile.

What are your feelings these day?  Today I felt parenting is so darn tough.
