Sunflower Field at Colby Farms

9.11.2017

As we set the ball rolling for the school year, what was a better way to end the week with visiting a sunflower field.  I missed this stunning view last year because of the rain and we could not fit into our schedule.  This year I kept checking the Colby Farms’ website for announcement when these beauties were in full bloom.  Last weekend we made it here.  Oh mine!  It was satisfying.  I can look at these pictures throughout the year as a vehicle to rejuvenate and energize my body and spirit.  Now that Evan and Landon are older, our week is much more busier than before with activities.

City Farm in Gingham Dress

9.6.2017

I know a lot of parents couldn’t wait to get their kids out of the house back to school. I didn’t have the same feelings.  Our summer was much more relaxed compared to the school year where the new routines have to be established for drop off/ pick up, activities, homework, and ahh papers and pile of papers. This past summer had gone so fast that I was not ready for fall.

Camden, Maine

8.30.2017

We had our annual camping trip in Camden Hills State Park this year.  Compared to the usual Tripoli Road, New Hampshire camping site, everyone felt like a VIP camper.  The amenities were awesome.  The bathroom and showers were cleaned and closed to the camp site.  We didn’t have to put coins in to use the water.  Every morning, there were two park workers driving around to collecting trash, and they were the most friendliest people.  Even the hand wash soap in the restroom smelled nice.

Maxi Skirting into Fall

8.23.2017

In my line of work, I encounter people that are less fortunate than I am everyday.  Yesterday two situations that hit me the most were a mom bailing her son out of trouble after he was in and out of jail.  The expression on her face stayed with me, sad and sorrowful.  I thought of my sons and of being in her shoes.  I sympathized with her suffering.  Whose mothers wouldn’t want their sons to be great?

Back To School Primark

8.15.2017

Are you preparing for back to school?  The summer just flew by, isn’t it?  We are two weeks away from the start of the school year here in Boston.  This year we have not yet dipped out feet into the sand locally.  The weather has been weird, some like fall days, and it has never gotten hot enough.  Hopefully, we will have a chance for the remaining of August.

Small Life Tweaks

Self

Each one of us has a way to bring joy into our own life.  I am easily forgetful, so this blogging is making me happy because I can collect moments and put them here.  Recently, I just tweaked my daily ritual to include these three small things in my lifestyle.  I think they will make a better ME.

Polka Dot and Sunflower

7.31.2017

“There is never a wrong time for a polka dot.”- Marc Jacobs.

I felt like a French girl.  This H&M’s dress could be last season.  I got it on the clearance rack in store for $10.  This pair of platform sandals I picked up at Target for $17.99.  Neither of them are available online, but you can find similar styles ranging in prices at the end of this post.

Fresh Floral

7.24.2017

I stumbled into this app called Asana Rebel.  It is a yoga app.  What I like about it is it motivates me to resume my exercise regimens.  First excercise of the day is only 5 minutes.  If I wake up early enough, I can do another 15 minutes flow.  I have been on and off with my exercise.  With this app, I am determined to have more yoga days ahead.

I do my exercise whenever I find times {sometimes even in the bathroom stall at work-only if it has fresh air :)}  I take stairs whenever I can.  I do some stand up crunches at work’s stairways. Read More

City Playground

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

7.21.2017

I could not get my kids into the first session of summer camp.  I felt bad for leaving them at home doing nothing.  They keep asking when they see me in the morning if it is my day off.  I am taking Fridays off for the next three week to hang out.

Today, I will take all four into town to have lunch with Dad.  I plan to take them to the city playground and the frog pond to play with water to cool off.  We will head to the Children’s Museum at 5pm to take an advantage of the discount entrance, $1 per person sponsored by Target.

Quick Styling Tips

7.12.2017

Long before, I used to change my outfits at least one or twice times in the morning before leaving for work even though I put out an outfit the night before.  I had a pleasure playing fashion sessions with things in my closet.  Not nowadays, it is all about Go-and-Go.   I no longer plan out my outfit because I know my mood would change by the morning.  And today, this website is my fashion playground🙀.  Here are my tips for quick dressings, see if you agree with me:
